End of a day of glorious winter sunshine
What a welcome! Our first full day back on the island has been marked by almost unbroken sunshine. After London’s hard pavements it is great to feel the sand and the springy Machair beneath our feet. After the smell of combined diesel and petrol fumes, it is so refreshing to breathe in lungfuls of sea air.
In the past weeks it has been very encouraging to receive enquiries relating to our circumstances in view of the extreme weather that so many have been experiencing.
This winter Tiree has had its share of high winds and above average rainfall, There have been many new lochans and tarns formed, but no apparent flooding of homes. Sand dunes have taken a battering, but it is good to report that we are still above the waves.
