Beinn Mhòr, meaning “great mountain” is the highest mountain and only Munro (over 3,000 feet) on the island of Mull. This snow capped peak was clearly visible from Tiree on this beautiful sunny Sunday in February (2014).
I first caught a glimpse of it when I went out for a walk in Scarinish, before meeting with others at An Talla to worship God. I could not help but think of the words of the Psalmist. In Psalm 121, he says, “I look up to the mountains — does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!”
Coming out from An Talla, I had to photograph the scene, and again from Scarnish, first of all near to the old harbour, and later from the area close to the pier. As usual, Mouseover for Titles, Double Click for Slideshow of larger photographs
