This afternoon Tiree sat in the midst of a wonderful panorama of the Hebridean Isles. Whatever direction you looked you could make out distant isles and even skerries. I could make out to the East – Mull and the Treshnish Isles, to the South – Jura, to the West – the Skerryvore Lighthouse, to the North West – Barra, the Uists, to the North – Rum and Eigg. And that’s just to mention a few of the isles.
Setting out on a photographic expedition for a future post, flags were flying for tomorrow’s wedding. I say flying, often they were limp the air was so still. I stopped off at Balevullin and could not resist this panoramic view of the Beach. Do click on the photograph to see a larger version. The Beach lies on the northwest corner of the Isle of Tiree exposed to the Atlantic ocean and its waves make it popular with watersports enthusiasts.
