Tiree: What A Contrast!

Looking out from An Talla

Seven days ago the ferry left Oban for Coll and Tiree but was forced to turn back because of the adverse weather.  Outside ‘An Talla’ the wind was howling and the rain torrential making it difficult to get from the car to the front of the door of the hall. Roll on seven days and what a contrast. An early morning walk along the pier was like looking into a mirror – and the air was so still. At ‘An Talla’ the sunlight was dancing on the water and the islands were so clear. From our windows at home it is one of those afternoons when we can see the ‘Paps of Jura’ distinctly. It was a joy to be out this morning and meeting to worship God with fellow Christians, islanders and visitors, was the icing on the cake.
