Late afternoon, we have the opportunity to take our visitors to the east end of the island. We pass along the shore of Gott Bay and turn down to Milton with its attractive harbour. Stretching our legs, we find the cattle friendly and photogenic.
Back in the car we follow the road round to Caolas. Turning right, towards ‘Mullach nan Gall’’ we sight what we think is a flock of Hebridean sheep. They are certainly small and black! Retracing our ‘treads’ we drive along towards ‘Port Chunn Neill’.
Stopping at Saulm beach, we are greeted by the seals, who appear to be enjoying the sun as much as we are. Thankfully, they are quite willing to be photographed.
Our friends leave tomorrow on the ferry. Having spent almost a week on the island, they go away convinced that it is always sunny and warm.
This is life on the sunny side.
