This afternoon witnessed the return of the MV Clansman to her home waters following her annual overhaul and temporary relief duties on the Uig Triangle. With a sailing to Barra under her belt she made her first crossing to Tiree.
Due to adverse weather her 7.15 sailing was suspended with a decision being made about 8.00. The result was to attempt a crossing which duly departed Oban at 11.15 and came directly to Scarinish (Tiree) arriving at 14.38. The volume of traffic and lorries having to reverse onto the vessel meant the Clansman did not set out for Coll and Oban until 15:25.
