April is just about done and Ben More is Dusted.
Here on Tiree we have certainly experienced the proverbial ‘April showers’ – many of them laden with hail. ‘Ner cast a clout till May is out’ is also proving true this year, with the winds from the north and distinctly cold. In between the showers the sun is bright and the sea a deep blue. Looking across the Passage of Tiree Ben More and the surrounding peaks have a liberal dusting of snow.
With April about to give way to May there are signs that the Machair is wakening up. Soon Tiree will be a riot of colour.
