As forecast, around midnight, we experienced another thunder plump. There may or may not have been lightening, but there was certainly rain – lots of it! For the second time in three days we have suffered power cuts, which for some people on the island has meant having to replace damaged telephones and routers. However, when the sun shines the sea is transformed and the Machair with its carpet of flowers is resplendent. Amidst the sea of yellow are countless colourful treasures. What a joy to walk in such breathtaking surroundings. This is ‘Life on Tiree’.
