The day began with gusting wind and heavy rain, but by the afternoon the wind had dropped and it was dry. The evening was a delight, calm and sunny. The clouds that masked the sunset reflected the glow of the sun over the waters of the Passage of Tiree. The old harbour Scarinish was a feast for the eyes.

As darkness began to descend the ‘Blue Moon’ rose in the sky to be reflected across the water.
