Abigail, the first storm to be named by the Met Office, is beginning to make her presence felt here on Tiree.
The morning began uncannily bright and sunny.
By early afternoon the sky was ominously dark and threatening.
Then all of a sudden the storm clouds broke and the rain lashed down.
Once again the sky lightened and the sunset was briefly to be seen.
Now the wind is gusting around the house and the tiles are rattling.
As the forecast stands at present Abigail strikes in earnest tomorrow.
Hopefully the worst of the storm will pass the Isle of Tiree by.
Still we are expecting winds in the upper 60s.
There will be no ferry tomorrow.
