It’s windy!
It’s windy here on Tiree!
It is the first real storm of the season.
And for the first time the storm has been named by the Met Office.
ABIGAIL

At One O’ Clock the winds were gusting to 60mph.
Thankfully CalMac had anticipated the strength of the wind.
The ferry had been rescheduled and sailed a day early.
Wednesday instead of Thursday.

At One O’ Clock the winds were gusting to 60mph.
In a week when the plane has been less than reliable
Loganair employed the larger plane and landed about two hours late.
Thanks to all who made this possible.

Looking out from the Scarinish Hotel to the Old Harbour
as the sun was setting against a stormy background
the waves could be seen crashing onto the rocks.

Yes!
A chair with a view in all weathers.
Perhaps better not sit down!
Hold Tight!
Once again the wind is intensifying.
At 5:00am there was hardly a breath of wind.
At 1:00pm the wind was gusting to 60mph.
Life on Tiree continued and continues.

It’s Official!

It’s dark.
The Slates are rattling.
The wind is howling round the house!
I wonder what Abigail will bring tonight?
