Before even drawing back the curtains
the light entering the bedroom give a hint
that this was going to be a dramatic sunrise
and in no way did it prove a disappointment.
The hints were so enticing
that I had to see beyond the headland
so in the early hours of Sunday morning
I crossed over to the monument just off Pier Road.
The sun was just rising over Ben More on Mull.
To the south were the Paps of Jura
So clear in the dawn light.
Yet, 50 miles away.
Tiree was basking in reflected glory.
The Golf Ball, the BT Tower and Scarinish all were glowing.
the start of the day
proved to be the best of the day
for the remainder of the day was showery.
This is ‘Life on Tiree’.
