It is understood that before the subsea fibre-optic cable even began to provide a high speed broadband service to the Isle of Tiree it was was damaged by a vessel in the Passage of Tiree. However, this afternoon a cable laying vessel arrived and anchored to the East of Tiree.  Global Marine  Systems ‘Wave Sentinel’ has the ability to perform multiple roles which include cable installation and maintenance.  With little wind and a calm sea is it possible that ‘Wave Sentinel’ has arrived on site to repair the damage?
