Drawing back the curtains is shocking.
Tiree is transformed.
It is a whiteout!
Tiree has been transformed into snowy wonderland.
You cannot say winter wonderland.
It’s April – it’s springtime.
It’s snowing hard and lying on the ground.
Familiar landmarks are taking on a new appearance.
The Machair has disappeared beneath a snowy, white blanket.
We have high winds and rain, but snow rarely.
The wild life and stock are finding it strange.
Cold feet are common.
There’s a ferry due at 11:05am.
The power supply has failed – a line is down.
Thankfully the engineers restore power by 11:00am.
Thankful too that there is a back up power supply for the pier link-span.
From the Bridge on the MV Clansman what an amazing sight.
Gott Bay and the Isle of Tiree as it is rarely seen.
There’s a transformation.
Saturday is the Tiree 10K and Half-Marathon.
Will snow shoes replace running shoes?
Runners are arriving on the ferry.
A change is on the way.
The black snow laden clouds are retreating.
There is a definite hint of blue appearing on the skyline.
It’s 4:00pm and Tiree is Transformed.
The Machair has reappeared.
It’s the familiar.
This is ‘Life on Tiree’.
