What A Marvellous May!
Bright and sunny almost every day!
And how the daylight hours are lengthening.
Not only that! We had had stunning sunsets most evenings.
Here are just a few examples from the Marvellous Month of May.
Looking back the question then was, ‘Would the weather hold?’
With a week’s holiday approaching it was most pertinent.
Sunset on the 9th was tantalising.
What an evening to sail!
The 10th was warm and sunny.
The sunset in the Sound of Mull awe inspiring.

Scotland and the West Coast were bathed in sunshine.
For two days the Hebrides were the warmest place in the UK.
What a “cracker” of a week to spend on the neighbouring island of Colonsay.
It was hard to take in that we were so blessed!
The only dampener was the day before setting out for home.
For a few hours there was rain on Colonsay.
The return journey was in sunshine.
Back to the sunshine capital of Scotland.
Back to even more spectacular sunsets.
The 21st was the full moon.
So the month continued.
And blue seas in various hues.
And each sunset trying to out do the previous one.
Thus to the 31st of May.
With it came a trip to Tiree’s West End.
Let the West End have the last word in sunsets.
Will it be Fabulous June?
Historically it was ‘Flaming June’.
If the 1st of June is anything to go by . . .
