Red! Red! Red!

Red! Red! Red!
Yet another Spectacular Sunset.
The day itself was characterised by light showers.
But come late evening the sunset did not disappoint.

The cup of coffee is abandoned.
How can you stay indoors with such a magnetic sky.
You are drawn by the reds and yellows to stand and appreciate.

Earlier in the evening there was a hint of red in the sky.
A rainbow spanned Gott Bay and the Passage of Tiree.
It framed the Clansman bound for Coll and Oban.

As the sunsets in the west there is a rainbow in the east.
The bow, out in the Passage of Tiree, appears behind the memorial.
All around, north, south, east and west, the dominant colour of the sky is red.

Red! Red! Red!
What a glorious theme and scene.
One spectacular sunset after another.
What amazing variations on a great theme.

The clouds take up this great theme and turn a fiery red.
As the sunset the reds become even more pronounced.
This magnetic sky draws and grips you.

Yet another amazing sunset from the Isle of Tiree.
The Bible’s songwriter asks,
When I look at the night sky
and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
