It is Sunday
Andy Murray has won the Men’s Singles at Queens.
Even more significant is is wet and windy on the Isle of Tiree.
Strange, after at least five weeks, if not six , of blue skies and seas.

A wee reminder it can be wet and windy on Tiree.
The stock on the island certainly need the rain – so no complaints.
And a wee reminder what the weather was like the rest of the weekend.

The weekend began with sunshine reflected in the sunset.
Friday night ended with yet another colourful sunset.
For weeks it has been one sunset after another.
As the sun was setting the moon was rising.
Look south and the moon was so clear in the evening sky

Saturday was special.
Visitors to the island were greeted by bright sunshine.
As many were to remark, “This is Tiree at its very best!”

How the Machair and the island’s wild flowers respond to the sun.
At present the island is covered with a colourful floral capet
This has been the year of ‘Bog Cotton’.
All over the island the fluffy balls are evident.
Here the bog cotton meets the yellow of the Machair.

It feels strange that rain should be forecast for Sunday.
Late on Saturday clouds begin to make an appearance.
The moon will play ‘catch me if you can’ with the clouds throughout the night.
Wet and Windy
Bright Blue Skies and Seas
No matter the weather a great place to be.
This is ‘Life on Tiree’
