Our visitors arrive on Saturday morning’s ferry.
You want them to see Tiree at its best.
Blue skies and seas are on order.

Today has provided sunshine and showers.
At times the weather has been warm and bright.
At other times dark clouds and heavy showers have swept over.

The weather forecast is not promising.
Yet Tiree often defies the weather forecasters.
Perhaps we will yet get more sunshine than showers.

No dramatic sunset this evening.
Nevertheless the walk down the pier was not disappointing.
A lone yacht in the bay is set against the vague hint of the sunset.

The sound of the elusive corncrake can be heard.
Oyster Catchers are screeching over the bay.
And a gull swoops overhead.

“I will meet you at the top of the approach to the pier.”
Here’s hoping it will be sun and not a soaking.
May our visitors see Tiree at its best.
All right!
In winter there’s nothing wrong with a good storm.
This is ‘Life on Tiree’ whatever the weather may bring.
