Thursday 18th of August
The evening and night of the Full Moon
What a sight as it rose over the Passage of Tiree.
Before the moon rose we took a walk along Salum Beach,
The sea was so calm on the Atlantic facing bay.
Hard to imagine the ferry is on an alert.
No sight of seals this evening as we walked the length of the beach.
However the colours more than made up for their absence.
We could tell some surfers were cooking their supper!
The smell wafted the length of the beach
Tiree does not have the dreaded midge.
This evening the myth was laid to rest.
Still less than on the mainland.
It was on our return to Scarinish that we became aware of the moon.
“Let’s walk down to the pier! The Sky is so attractive.”
It was then that we saw the full moon.
What a sight the orange glow of the globe over the Passage of Tiree.
This is ‘Life on Tiree on the night of the full moon.
