The 14th of November 2016 is the date of the next super-moon.
This is the closest the moon will have been to the earth since 1948.
And it will be approximately 20 years until it appears this close again.
The weather forecast hints at cloud cover for the 14th of November..
Thankfully there are clear skies this evening.
So just in case a few shots!
A walk to the Co-Op in Scarinish provided a great photo opportunity.
It appeared there was bright star in the sky to the lower right of the moon.
Gradually it became apparent this was the inbound plane from Glasgow Airport.
Finally as the darkness deepened the mom was flanked by a few wispy clouds.
The full moon will take place on the 14th of November.
The question is will it be visible from Tiree?
This is ‘Life on Tiree’ looking forward with eager anticipation of the super-moon.
