It’s about 9:00am on Sunday the 1st of January 2017.
A voice from the kitchen announces,
“Look at that sunrise!”

The forecast was for sunshine in the hours of daylight.
In the morning clouds cast doubts on this.
A walk was in order before lunch.
The wind was from the north.
“It was cold!”
Cloud effects from the Pier and Pier Road
In the afternoon Church Family Worship
took us to An Talla at Crossapol
from where we looked out on
the Golf Ball at Ben Hynish.

Returning home to Scarinish
the sky was a like a picture postcard.
The sun had set and the afterglow was a joy.

All too soon
sunset gave way to moonrise.
As blue gradually morphed into black
both Venus and the Moon were clearly visible.

This ‘Life on Tiree’ on Sunday the 1st of January.
Now watch sunrise to moonrise
