There is a good problem in Baugh.
The Baptist Church Premises are too small.
They are not large enough on a Sunday morning.

The building was renovated three years ago.
Even so there is still insufficient accommodation.
Thus the Sunday Morning Gathering is normally held in An Talla.

Have no fear the Baugh premises do no languish unused.
It is home to a Sunday evening gathering once a month.

It is the meeting place for the Encounter Youth Group.
And a cosy venue for Christmas Eve Celebrations.
The church makes good use of the building.

Every other Thursday morning there is the popular Coffee Pot.
In summer months it can feel like the feeding of the 5,000.
It is the place to be for coffee, cake and craic.

As a service to the community the hall is sometimes let.
Once a week the Lunch Club make use of the premises.
It is not a public hall but it is an opportunity to serve.
So various groups make use of the facility.

At present Tiree Art Enterprises are exhibiting at Baugh.
They appreciate the space – especially the lightness.
For a week at the start of August they close.
Then they reopen for a further few weeks.

Why? – Why the gap?
The answer is – The Kitchen Tales Holiday Club.
The Holiday Bible Club has become an annual fixture.
No wonder the saying, “Baugh For Life”.
This is Life on Tiree.
